• Turrón is the undisputed star. The province is the birthplace of turrón, with the soft Jijona turrón and the hard Alicante turrón being the most famous. During these weeks it is also common to enjoy other typical sweets: marzipans, mantecados, polvorones and the famous Roscón de Reyes.
• Another very popular Christmas tradition in Spain is eating 12 grapes during the midnight chimes on New Year’s Eve.
